Windrush Day, marked on 22 June, celebrates the contributions of the Windrush generation, Caribbean migrants who arrived in the UK from 1948 onwards to help rebuild the country after World War II. It is a day to recognise their resilience, cultural impact, and lasting legacy across communities, while also reflecting on issues of equality, belonging, and the continued importance of celebrating diversity in modern Britain.

The 35th Anniversary Macmillan Coffee Morning was a fantastic day of community, cake, and kindness — and the event raised an incredible £1,067.07 for Macmillan Cancer Support!
The day was made possible thanks to the efforts of volunteers, bakers, staff, and supporters who gave their time, skills, and energy. UNISON contributed by sponsoring the main prize alongside the many other donations and acts of kindness that helped make the morning such a success.
