As you may be aware, external consultants have been appointed to review all Admin and Clerical functions across our Trust. Their stated aim is to identify cost savings—but we know that often means cuts, downgrading, or restructuring that could directly impact your role, your workload, and the quality of care we deliver at Croydon University Hospital.
UNISON is here to stand up for you—but we need your voice to lead the way.
This review is happening in the wider context of government-ordered NHS cuts across England, which UNISON is actively campaigning against. These cuts are already putting thousands of jobs at risk—including vital support, planning, and IT roles. UNISON believes this is a false economy: cutting essential staff undermines planning, efficiency, and ultimately patient care. We will never cut waiting lists by cutting the workforce that keeps the NHS running.
We’ve launched a short, confidential questionnaire to gather your thoughts, concerns, and ideas for action. Whether you’re open to signing a petition, writing to the Trust Board Chair or your MP, working to rule, or even considering strike action—your input will shape our branch campaign.
👉 Complete the survey here https://forms.office.com/e/bJUY1MMttX it only takes 5 minutes, and every response strengthens our collective voice.
