Our branch (Croydon University Hospital) nominated Christina McAnea for UNISON General Secretary because of her proven leadership, experience, and commitment to delivering for members. Under her leadership, UNISON has grown in membership, led major NHS strikes, and secured significant pay wins. Christina has championed equality, launched the UNISON College, and fought for public services. Her pledge to continue building a modern, organising union and support branches with new resources aligns with our priorities. We believe Christina offers stability, unity, and the strength to lead UNISON through the challenges ahead.
